Gale rant

To start off, let me just say, put yourself in Gale's P.O.V for a minute. Imagine your crush getting ripped out of your life to be put in a fight to the death, and seeing your crush kiss a strange person on live television IN THAT DEATH MATCH. then your crush openly flaunts their love for that strange person in your face. not so pretty, eh? of course you're gonna get mad. of course you're gonna act like a jerk sometimes. He handled it exceptionally well, actually. Compared to Ashfur. He didn't go psycho and try to kill her family. which leads me to another thing, Gale never killed Prim. He got ordered to make fire-bombs by Coin, who is the REAL bad guy here, and he made them. of course people are going to get hurt with FIRE. BOMBS. it was only a sad coincidence that Prim got stuck in one of em. In fact, if you watch his behavior, he was trying to protect Primrose Everdeen. I bet he was just as horrifyed as Katniss when Prim died. Now, you know the whole "opposites attract" thing? Katniss and Gale are the same soul, same spirit, same fire in them. They attract. Now, remember that beautiful reunion between Katiss and Peeta in Mockingjay? When he tries to strangle Katniss? (dont get me wrong, Im one of the few Team Gale people that actually have Peeta as a favorite) Well, PEETA gets immediate forgiveness for that. Gale hardly gets blame for Prim, which is just ONE thing, and gets hated. What kind of crap is that? What. Kind. Of. Crap. Is. THAT? Also, Gale knew the Capitol was evil from the beginning. he ranted about it in the woods. HE KNEW before anyone else, except maybe Haymitch. HE  is probably one of the many unsung heroes of the books. Gale knew how to organize a rebellion for god's sake. He is an unsung hero.

Back to the first book. Gale knew the Katniss that smiled in the woods, his Catnip. The Capitol took that away with those horrible Games. They took Katniss, gave her back, yes, but they never gave back his Catnip. The one that smiled in the woods. Thats why he rejected Cinna's gloves. Katniss was changed by the Capitol. He never got back the old Catnip. The one with the bow and arrow, the one that smiled in the woods, that mimicked the Capitol accent. The Capitol took that away. He knew the Capitol was evil from the beginning. This just proved all his theories. 

Tl;dr?

Gale shouldnt get blame for Prim.

there's a good explination for his actions.

he's an unsung hero.
